Please don’t break our Arm Rests :/

Second Seat Policy
We strive to best serve our customers’ unique needs by providing a comfortable and safe flight for all passengers.
Alaska Airlines requires the purchase of an additional seat for any customer who cannot comfortably fit within one seat with the armrests in the down position. We are unable to guarantee travel for those who require additional seat space on a given flight unless a second seat is purchased in advance.
If all flight segments between origin and destination depart with an empty seat, customers who have purchased a second seat can receive a refund of the second seat charge for that portion of their trip.

It’s been a while since my last blog!! But here are some photo’s of my trip to Lihue, Kauai——- Such a beautiful Island!

We stay at the Kauai Beach Resort and it was beautiful! If you’re looking for a Trendy spot close to everything, this is NOT your place to stay. The Kauai Beach Resort is about a 15 min car ride into town. However, this resort is still a fun place to stay! Really nice Pool and Fun Beach!. Attached is a picture of the rooms that we as Flight Attendants get to stay in!

When we have a layover, we stay anywhere from 24-30 hours. It  doesn’t seem like a lot of time, however I promise you, if you rent a car, it’s just enough time to drive the Island and explore!

The cave that I”m standing in, is located across from Tunnel Beach. GOOGLE it! I recommend everyone goes!

We at Alaska Airlines have the privilege of flying to:

 Big Island (Kona)

 Kauai (Lihue)

And as a Reserve Flight attendant, It’s really fun to get called out for one of these trips because majority of the time the Senior Flight attendants bid these flights!
Happy almost Halloween! :) We found this on the airplane the other day and decided to keep it around till Halloween!

“Please take your shoes off as well…..!”

Many of you go thru security checkpoints once or maybe twice a year. While others are frequent fliers and travel thru security checkpoints once or twice a week. Have you ever wondered why at most airports now there are two lines to walk thru? And generally you don’t have a choice; the TSA just point u in the direction of which security lane to walk thru.

1. General Metal Detector

2. RapiScan Advanced Image Technology Scanner

TSA does an excellent job at finding so many things each day that shouldn’t be in airports or on planes. Feel free to visit their website and look at the “Good Catch” section to see what they actually do find.

http://www.tsa.gov/press/goodcatch/index.shtm

The general metal detector has been around for years and to me, is my preferred lane of choice at the Security Checkpoint. (Yes Flight attendants have to go thru these daily as well)

Here’s why:

Although RapiScan is an amazing new detection system, I just thought you would all like to know what they are looking at when you stand there in that funny hands raised position.  And then let YOU be the judge of which lane you would like to stand in. :)

The person looking at these images is no where to be seen, so they do not know what you look like in person, just thru this imaging software. From a safety standpoint, it’s amazing, however if you do choose to bypass this screening, be prepared for a full pat-down.

Remember, although you feel like you have little to no say at the airports, you do have a say in bypassing this screening. Just speak up!!

This was a video I shot while upside down in an airplane :)

I’m a Flight Attendant, a Pastor’s Wife, an Identical Twin, and a fun easy going person. I enjoy life to the fullest, am obsessed with Airplanes, and love taking pictures!

My sister once said to me, ” Everything crazy happens on your flight!”  I had to explain to her that while the average person flies 2 times a year, I fly an average of 3 flights a day.

Something is bound to happen that is of entertainment value on my flight at least once a day. :)

Follow me as I document these experiences through photos!

I’ll be posting on here mainly about my life as a Flight Attendant! There are plenty of entertaining stories and pictures that I have yet to share…So stay tuned!

Please write to me if you have any suggestions, questions, or ideas on what you want to see/hear! :) Enjoy!
